Bath on Screen
You will be guided by Fred Mawer*, an award-winning Blue Badge Tour Guide – the Blue Badge is the UK's highest guiding qualification – on a private and leisurely two-hour walking tour. You will be immersed in Bridgerton's filming locations in Bath, including the Modiste, Lady Danbury’s House and the Featheringtons' London townhouse.
As well as unveiling the filming spots, Fred will share behind-the-scenes anecdotes and insights into Bridgerton's portrayal of Regency England.
The tour will also explain the reasons why Bath is so perennially popular with production companies. Beyond Bridgerton, it will reveal locations around the city used for films such as Vanity Fair, The Duchess, Les Misérables and Wonka (the Timothée Chalomet one), along with Jane Austen adaptations and the TV detective drama series McDonald and Dodds. You’ll also learn about the recent large-scale filming in Bath for Agatha Christie’s The Seven Dials Mystery, expected to be released on Netflix this year.
* In the event that Fred is not available, an alternative Blue Badge Guide with host your tour.
